Danish Butter Cookies

This recipe is from my Danish collection:

Danish Butter Cookies


 
  • ½ Cup Butter 
  • ½ Cup Crisco 
  • 1 egg 
  • 1 Cup Sugar 
  • 1 Cups Flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda 
  • ½ teaspoon cream of tartar 
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla 

 
Mix all ingredients and chill. Roll into small balls and place on a cookie sheet; press with a fork. Sprinkle with sugar if desired. Bake at 375º for 8-10 minutes.
